I Know That My Redeemer Lives

September 28, 2015

Hola familia y amigos!

We got to watch the General Women's Session of CONFERENCE on Saturday! Woooo I love conference time. These messages are so inspired it's like the church is true or something. I definitely felt the spirit and had some of my questions answered from that session it was so good! If everyone could just do me a favor and PLEASE WATCH CONFERENCE this weekend that'd be superb. I had two favorite quotes from the women's session. One was from President Uchtdorf's talk when he said, "Forever is composed of nows," and I don't remember exactly who said this next one but she was talking about how we have so many blessings waiting for us when the time comes to return to live with our Father in Heaven again. She was saying that the blessings will be so great that we will look back on our lives and think, "Was that all that was required?" Im obsessed.

On Sunday our recent convert Gabriel was confirmed and received the Gift of the Holy Ghost! Que emocionante! He brought his two sons on Sunday and wanted us to wait for him in front to help him with his tie it was precious! After the confirmation he was just glowing. You could see that the gospel has changed his life and how happy it makes him. Afterwards, he walked down the aisle with a huge smile on his face, shaking everyone's hand on the way back to his seat. It was such a tender moment!

I had a cool experience on Tuesday night. We visited the Quevedo Family who are super awesome! Jessica, the daughter is a recent convert and she's way cool. She invited us over that night to share a message about a specific topic and I felt we were able to meet her needs but I also felt that I specifically needed to be with this family that night. After we shared our message I thought it would be a good idea to sing I Know that My Redeemer Lives together. This song always gets me! The words are just so powerful. I'm sure this has been my email subject before but I'm going to make this my hymn of the week again in English because I want to invite you all to read the lyrics and ponder what they mean to you personally. As we were singing this on Tuesday with this wonderful family I sincerely thought about the words and my personal relationship with the Savior. As I did so I felt such a strong spirit strengthen and reconfirm my testimony that Jesus Christ lives and He is my Savior. It was something so simple yet so sweet and precious to me. I testify that we have a loving Savior who is Jesus Christ and I know He lives. I love Him and I am so thankful for His example and Atoning sacrifice for each of us.

I love you all and hope everyone has a great week!

Keep smiling,

Hermana Knowles

I Know That My Redeemer Lives
1.I know that my Redeemer lives.
What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, he lives, who once was dead.
He lives, my ever-living Head.
He lives to bless me with his love.
He lives to plead for me above.
He lives my hungry soul to feed.
He lives to bless in time of need.
2.He lives to grant me rich supply.
He lives to guide me with his eye.
He lives to comfort me when faint.
He lives to hear my soul’s complaint.
He lives to silence all my fears.
He lives to wipe away my tears.
He lives to calm my troubled heart.
He lives all blessings to impart.
3.He lives, my kind, wise heav’nly Friend.
He lives and loves me to the end.
He lives, and while he lives, I’ll sing.
He lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King.
He lives and grants me daily breath.
He lives, and I shall conquer death.
He lives my mansion to prepare.
He lives to bring me safely there.
4.He lives! All glory to his name!
He lives, my Savior, still the same.
Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
“I know that my Redeemer lives!”
He lives! All glory to his name!
He lives, my Savior, still the same.
Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
“I know that my Redeemer lives!”
